Read your booth traffic analytics

C
Written by Customer Success

The Traffic Analytics tab lists every attendee who opened your booth in the app, which carousel slides they viewed, and for how long. This article is for the sponsor admin.

Before you start

  • You need sponsor admin access to the booth. See Access your booth in the admin panel.

  • The organizer must turn on Traffic analytics for your booth. Until then the tab is grayed out with the tooltip "To see your booth's traffic analytics, reach out to the event organizer." and the Most active visitors card is missing from Overview.

  • Slide data needs carousel slides. Add them with Edit Virtual Booth under Sponsor deck (carousel).

Where to find it

Booths > your booth > Traffic Analytics in the admin panel. View all visitors under Most active visitors on the Overview tab opens the same tab.

What Brella records

For signed-in attendees in the mobile app and the web app:

  • A booth visit each time the attendee opens your booth page.

  • Time spent on the booth page.

  • A slide view when a slide shows. The first slide counts when the booth opens. Other slides count when the attendee moves to them.

  • Viewing time for the slide on screen, for both slide types: Image (upload) and Embed web page / video / stream (URL).

If the attendee comes back to the same slide within 2 minutes and has started no other tracked view since, Brella continues the earlier time entry.

Brella does not record:

  • Links, representatives, products, downloads and sessions on your booth.

  • Visits to your own website.

  • The sponsor widget on the organizer's website.

Read the visitors table

The Visitors card shows the number of attendees in its title and one row per attendee.

Column

What it means

Name

The attendee. "Deleted user" if the account no longer exists.

Job Title, Company

From the attendee's profile.

Total Time Spent in Booth

Time recorded on the booth page. Never lower than Total Content View Time.

Total Content View Time

Total viewing time across all slides, for example "3m 12s".

Total Content View Count

Booth visits plus slide views.

  • Rows are ordered by time, then by count, highest first.

  • The tab shows 20 visitors per page. Change the page size at the bottom right of the table.

See each slide and time entry

Expand a visitor to see one row per slide the attendee viewed, most viewed first.

Column

What it means

Content Type

image for Image (upload), iframe for Embed web page / video / stream (URL).

Content Title

The slide title you entered in the admin panel.

Url

The embedded address or the image address.

Content View Time

Time this slide was on the attendee's screen.

Content View Count

How many times the attendee viewed this slide.

Expand a slide to see each time entry with Start Time, End Time and Duration, in the event's time zone, 20 entries per page. End Time is empty while the slide is still on screen.

Booth visits are counted in Total Content View Count but have no row of their own.

One visitor expanded to show slide rows, and one slide expanded to show Start Time, End Time and Duration

Export the data

Select Export Data (.csv). The message "Your CSV export will be delivered by email shortly." confirms the request. Brella emails you a message with the subject "Brella admin report" and a zip file named <booth name>-report-<date>-<time> with 2 files:

  • <booth name>-interactions.csv: one row per booth visit, slide view or time entry. Columns: id, email, first_name, last_name, job_title, company, ticket_type_list_name, ticket_type_list_id, content_title, url, interaction, start_time, end_time, duration_seconds and type. Booth visits have Booth in content_title and type. Times are in the event's time zone.

  • <booth name>-visitors.csv: one row per attendee with id, email, first_name, last_name, job_title, company, ticket_type_list_name, ticket_type_list_id and total_time_spent_in_booth_seconds. The total includes slide time.

The export is not downloaded in the browser. If "We couldn't export that. Please try again." appears, select the button again.

Limits

  • Only signed-in attendees in the mobile app and the web app are recorded.

  • Viewing time per content item is recorded for carousel slides only. Links, products and downloads are not tracked.

  • The data is per booth. The same slide address used in another booth is counted there separately.

Troubleshooting
